Inspired by a conversation with my wife Debra and the song Rise by Danny Gokey, we held our first Rise Up Basketball Boot Camp at Northridge High School in Dayton, Ohio. 40 Hours of basketball instruction, advanced skills, drills, conditioning, and competitive games. The most important part of the week was our daily lectures about rising above our circumstances and mistakes in life and how the Bible teaches us to use them for our good by obtaining wisdom.
